When I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is sit on the side of the bed and I give myself these two choices: you can either be happy or you can be very happy.
The most important conversations that we can have on a daily basis are the conversations that we have with ourselves.
At the end of the day when you go to bed, the fundamental question I ask myself, what did I do today to make myself a better person than I was yesterday?
I think those people who live their lives strategically, their personal and professional lives strategically, have a hugeadvantage over the rest of the population.
Strive to do things that energize you. Constantly ask yourself why? And then try to find out the answer to that why.
The people who understand where the world is going are young people. And I find out that young people are my best mentors right now.
3 Essential Questions
The three most relevant questions everybody has to grapple with in their life:
Who am I?
Why am I on Earth?
What is it that I have to contribute in life?
Every 5 to 10 years, we have to reinvent ourselves.
Life is not about money. Life is about the positive experiences that you have.
Spend less time trying to meet other people's expectations because most time other people's expectations are going to be in conflict with your expectations.
It's the greatest time in the world to live right now. Every day in our lives is packed with insurmountable opportunities for personal growth.
I think we've lost our sense of responsibility to the whole person. I think we spend too much time allowing kids to feel that the greatest values are money and material and collecting things.
The most important validation is what you think of yourself. It's not what other people think of you.
