“Life isn’t about being strong or pretending we are strong to impress others. It takes courage to be authentic with our feelings and acknowledge that real strength comes from recognizing our moments of weakness.”

— Yong Kang Chan

I. Cultivating A Winning Culture

  • People want to feel loved and appreciated.

  • Don’t be afraid to share your feelings with people.

  • Where there is a commitment excuses can’t penetrate.

  • Results are driven by everyday behavior and performance.

  • Immediately confront challenges to the culture.

II. We Wear the Mask

4 masks to stop wearing:

  1. The mask that doesn’t take responsibility.

  2. The mask that shuts off how you truly feel.

  3. The mask that covers who you really are.

  4. The mask that makes others comfortable.

May the mask you sometimes wear protect you. Keep certain energies off of you, shield you from people who don’t have good intentions. But do not wear them so it prevents you from being you. Don’t forget who you are.

III. Notes to Self

  • Always start with the truth.

  • Everything will fall into place.

  • Focus on how you talk to yourself about yourself.

  • There is no arrival point, only growth and lessons learned to keep pressing forward.

IV. Question

What is holding you emotionally hostage and how can you start taking the steps to let go?

V. This Week I Will

  1. Compete.

  2. Run my race.

  3. Help someone.

  4. Take accountability.

  5. Not take things personally.

The Last Words…

“We sacrifice our health in order to make money. Then we sacrifice money to recuperate our health. And then we are so anxious about the future that we do not enjoy the present; the result being that we do not live in the present or the future; we live as if we are never going to die, and then die having never really lived.”

― Dalai Lama
