Sunday Thinking
"Success is not a comfortable procedure. Get comfortable being uncomfortable if you ever want to be successful."
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
“It’s never too late to become who you want to be. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.”
I. The Art of Leadership
Be the leader you wish you had.
When we focus on the competition, we become reactive. When we focus on improving ourselves, we become innovative.
Leadership is not about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.
Great leaders are like great parents―they are always learning and ensuring that those they lead benefit from their growth.
Leadership isn't about being the smartest or the most powerful― it's about continuously improving and helping others grow.
The best leaders invest in themselves so they can better serve and support those they lead.

II. What Matters Most Before Goodbye
11 life lessons we learn too late:
The less you say, the more your words will matter.
Don't take everything personally, not everyone thinks about you as much as you do.
When you focus on problems, you'll have more problems; when you focus on possibilities, you'll have more opportunities.
No matter how much it hurts now, someday you will look back and realize your struggle changed your life for the better.
You meet people for a reason, either you need them to change your life or you're the one that will changes theirs.
Never be afraid to try something new ― life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know.
You will never truly know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
If you do not have control over your mouth, you do not have control over your future.
Once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.
Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what they project into it.
The only person you have to face in the morning is yourself be unbeatable.
III. In Time You’ll Realize
Every step, setback, and detour has been preparing you for a major comeback and breakthrough, bringing you to this moment and place where you truly belong.
In time you’ll realize that everything unfolded exactly as it needed to.
The timing of events.
The doors that closed.
And the doors that never opened, were all part of a greater plan.
Keep rising and moving forward, one step at a time, and remember, “Don't give up. Don't ever give up.”
IV. We’re Thrilled About
New Book by Daily Coach Co-Founder
Available for Preorder
Get ready for a game-changing read! Daily Coach co-founder George Raveling and globally acclaimed bestselling philosopher Ryan Holiday have joined forces to deliver What You’re Made For: Powerful Life Lessons from My Career in Sports.
Hitting shelves on March 4, 2025, this transformative book is now available for preorder wherever books are sold.
Orphaned at just thirteen in a still-segregated Washington, D.C., George Raveling was introduced to a relatively unpopular sport—basketball—in high school. The rest, as they say, is history.
Here, Coach Raveling tells the story of his extraordinary ascent, sharing incredible behind-the-scenes stories of his days working with the best in the game. But this book is more than a memoir—it’s a manual for life that presents surprising methods for harnessing your potential from a man who shaped the careers of so many legends. Raveling imparts lessons learned from his grandmother, his long career in basketball, and his lifelong habit of reading—to which he credits all his success.
Whether you’re an athlete, a leader, a parent, a student, or simply seeking to mold your raw talent into greatness, What You’re Made For is a blueprint for your life.
V. Question
What am I made for?
VI. This Week, I Will
Take that next step.
Rest and recalibrate.
Trust my inner compass.
Take care of those in my charge.
Not find comfort in self-sabotage.
The Last Words…
"We cannot control how much time we get here, but we can make our lives as wide as possible while we have the chance. So — sip your coffee a little slower. Wake up in the middle of the bed. Linger at the dinner table with your friends, hug them as often as possible. Create the things that you are a channel for, don't dismiss your gifts or your curiosity or the beauty that is trying to find you. Pay attention to what reaches for you in this life, and reach back. Send the message. Be the person who cares. Leave people better than you found them. Try your best to forgive, to let go, to not make your hurt a cage. Live as loudly as possible. Love as tenderly as you can stomach. And never stop putting your heart into this world. Never stop putting your heart into this world."
