Sunday Thinking ― 3.30.25

“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.”

The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.

"There's something kind of beautiful about the fact that you'll never fully know how much good you've put into the world. You'll never know who saw you smiling and felt a little less alone. Who heard your laughter and remembered that joy still exists. Who read your words and carried them in their heart like a secret source of comfort. Who chose to stay just because they saw you doing the same. You don't have to be loud to make an impact. Sometimes, just living your life, being kind, and being you is enough to change someone else's world. And that's pretty incredible."

I. Stop Competing for Awards That Don’t Exist

Awards that do not exist and you're trying to win anyways:

  • Most perfect.

  • Never said no.

  • Rested the least.

  • Didn't need help.

  • Worked the longest.

  • Didn't make any mistakes.

  • Lived up to everyone's expectations.

News Flash: there's no award at the end of this race.

  • None for best people-pleaser. None for being perfect. None for working the longest.

  • None for never making mistakes. None for meeting everyone else's expectations instead of following your own dreams.

Remember it's your life to create. Do it with intention.

II. The Quiet Work of Becoming

Growth is not always loud.

  • Sometimes, it happens in the quiet moments―when you choose peace over chaos, when you walk away from what drains you, when you stop searching for validation in places that were never meant to hold you.

  • Not everyone will understand your journey, and that's okay. You are not here to be understood by everyone—you are here to become who you were meant to be.

  • Let go of the need to explain yourself. Let go of the fear of change. Let go of the past that no longer fits the future you are creating.

You are evolving, and that is something to be proud of.

III. Trust This Mess

Enjoy the process of being alive inside of a human body. Enjoy the process of making mistakes, of saying the wrong thing, of falling in love, of taking a chance on yourself, of choosing joy when you have every reason not to. Enjoy the process of being messy. Because the messier you allow yourself to be through this journey of life...

  • The more you build the courage to be seen inside of your becoming...

  • The more you follow your heart and surrender to divine flow...

  • The more meaningful your life will get. And this depth of courage can only be experienced in those moments of discomfort.

The design of life is so brilliant. You can't access the transformative gateways of becoming without being forged through the fires of transition and change.

So trust the mess. It's all happening for you.

IV. Question

When was the last time I told myself I’m proud of me?

V. This Week, I Will

  • Trust myself when I stumble.

  • Trust myself in times of loss and grief.

  • Trust myself through this season of growth.

  • Trust myself through transition and discomfort.

  • Trust myself when my mind attempts to bully my body into believing all its worries.

The Last Words…

"Everyone talks about showing up every single day and doing the work. But no one talks about how sometimes it takes every ounce of you to do so. Everyone tells you to keep going, but no one talks about the courage it takes to persevere when you are this close to giving up. Everyone tells you to be gentle with yourself, but no one talks about how hard it is when your thoughts have become your worst enemy. Everyone talks about self-love, but no one mentions the inner chaos you must confront first due to all the times you were told you're not good enough and were constantly compared to others. So, if you're struggling to keep up with all the external voices dictating what you should be doing right now, know that you're not weak. In fact, you're being your strongest self at this moment. Focus on taking only the step ahead of you. You've come a long way, and that means everything."
