Sunday Thinking
You are the Chief Design Officer of your story. Today is an opportunity to lead your life with dignity, peace, love, compassion, forgiveness, wisdom, gratitude, surrender, and humility.
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"If we are sincere in wanting to learn the truth, and if we know how to use gentle speech and deep listening, we are much more likely to be able to hear others’ honest perceptions and feelings. In that process, we may discover that they too have wrong perceptions. After listening to them fully, we have an opportunity to help them correct their wrong perceptions. If we approach our hurts that way, we have the chance to turn our fear and anger into opportunities for deeper, more honest relationships."
I. Mastering the Inner Game
Coaching, Consistency, and Community are three critical pillars of our personal growth as leaders and positive difference-makers.
Each day we should aspire to invest time and energy into our holistic experience playbook:
Personal: Taking good care of yourself.
Health: Balancing mind, body, and soul.
Relationships: Nurturing the people you love and lead.
Spirituality: Finding deeper connection, meaning, and purpose.
Work & Finance: Cultivating people and culture while developing excellence and ambition as a daily habit.
“Compete with yourself and root for everybody else.” — Candice Millard
II. Transitions Are Inevitable
Transitions are a part of the process. We can find our way through transitions, and learn to adjust by:
Recognizing that there is an acclimation period. Whether we wanted the change or not we have to take some time to figure out the new protocol, and new way of being.
Figuring out the systems that will allow you to settle into your new set of circumstances. Determine what support or resources you may need.
Deciding how you want to show up in this new space. Transitions can present us with the opportunity to explore or uplift parts of ourselves that we haven’t previously. You can decide to be different.
“Let the trees teach you about change,” is a common saying because the leaves shift and shed in autumn. Maybe we should be more like the trees. Maybe we should welcome change, embrace change, and accept that transitions are inevitable.

III. Already Enough
As we welcome a new week and navigate the hustle and bustle of daily life, the upcoming holiday season, and the end of the year ― may these gentle reminders guide us forward with more profound clarity and grace:
You are worthy of your own deep acceptance and compassion.
You are deserving of honoring your full humanity.
You are allowed to live into your full, whole self.
You are already enough.

V. Question
People will tell stories about you at your memorial service. What chapter are you writing today?
VII. This Week, I Will
Run my own race.
Treat people with kindness.
Focus on today, not tomorrow.
Be intentional with my self-talk.
Practice self-discipline as an act of self-love.
The Last Words…
"Stay grounded in the truth of who you are. You've come so far. Stop discrediting your journey. You were made for this life. This work. This joy. No more second-guessing your blessings. Be here now. I know things can get so heavy. Your thoughts can take you on a wild ride. Come back home to yourself. To the moment. To this second. To the truth of who you are. Give yourself permission to put some stuff down. Lighten your load. Only hold on to what is yours. You are headed in a new direction. Trust your path. Remember who you are."
