Sunday Thinking ― 4.13.25
"It is not always about moving forward to the next thing. Often times, keep going means coming back to my breath. To myself."
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"As children, we experience much less interference between receiving ideas and internalizing them. We accept new information with delight instead of making comparisons to what we already believe; we live in the moment rather than worrying about future consequences; we are spontaneous more than analytical; we are curious, not jaded. Even the most ordinary experiences in life are met with a sense of awe. Deep sadness and intense excitement can come within moments of each other. There's no facade and no attachment to a story. Artists who are able to continually create great works throughout their lives often manage to preserve these childlike qualities. Practicing a way of being that allows you to see the world through uncorrupted, innocent eyes can free you to act in concert with the universe's timetable."

I. Stop Chasing Approval. Start Choosing Peace.
The fact is, it is impossible to control someone else's thoughts.
Therefore, fearing what other people think, or trying to control their thoughts, is a complete waste of your time.
You will never feel in control of your life, your feelings, your thoughts, or your actions until you stop being consumed with or trying to control what other people think about you.
You can’t control their opinions. You can only choose how much of your precious energy you waste worrying about them.
This is a gentle reminder and a wake-up call to stop seeking approval and start reclaiming your peace.

II. Awaken Yourself First
True leadership is not about waking others up—it’s about awakening yourself.
When you chase the mission of helping others, you risk losing yourself in the process. Your focus shifts outward, your energy scatters, and your own power dims.
But when you commit to embodying your truth so fully, something shifts. You no longer need to convince, push, or pull—those who are ready will feel it.
They will rise not because you forced them to, but because your presence alone calls them higher.
Awaken yourself first. The rest will follow.

III. Gentle Reminders for This Season
Gentle reminders: Use what’s helpful. Let go of the rest.
You're not being denied access to the life you want. You're being prepared for deeper alignment and more clarity. Stay patient.
Your path is being shaped in ways you can't yet see. Patience isn't punishment—it's preparation. Trust the process. Trust yourself. What's meant for you will meet you, not miss you.
Forgive yourself for self-sabotaging because standing in your power felt too intimidating back then. You're not that person anymore. You're safe with yourself, now. Believe that.

V. Question
What part of yourself have you been hiding to feel accepted—and what would it feel like to finally set that part free?

VI. This Week, I Will
Prioritize flow and alignment.
Breathe. I haven't met all of me yet.
Identify and maintain my standards.
Not allow their fiction to become my truth.
Remember, I am not responsible for carrying the weight of everyone else's happiness.
…
The Last Words…
"We compare ourselves amongst ourselves. That’s not the standard. You already are the standard. What are you trying to fit into a standard for? We were each created to be individual standards. And we’re trying to fit into a standard? It doesn’t make any sense. So now, after all that, I’m just ready to be me."
