Sunday Thinking ― 4.20.25
"You are not more lovable when you're tired. So rest. Not later. Not when it's all done. Now. Take the nap. Close your eyes. Say no. Listen inwards. Rest. Breathe. Be."

The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"People spend a lot of time stressing and anxious about outcomes. They focus a lot about the things that are happening outside themselves, as opposed to working on what they really can, which is the things inside themselves. So people will be very stressed out and very unhappy and say, I can't really move forward in my life until the economy is better. I can't move forward in my life until my health is better. I can't move forward in life until my marriage is better. They focus on the exogenous because that's a natural thing to do. What I care about is the outcome. What I care about is the circumstances under which I can thrive. But the truth is you can't affect those things fundamentally. Happiness comes when you're all about what you can affect and surrendering in the things that you can't."

I. Don’t Confuse Company with Support
It's one thing to be surrounded. It's another thing to be supported.
Surrounded gives you company. Supported gives you clarity.
Surrounded keeps you busy. Supported helps you build.
Not everyone in your space is for your growth. Some people are just noise in the background of your calling.
We don't need more people. We need more alignment.
We need people who aren't just present— but positioned.
Positioned to speak truth. Positioned to call us higher.
Because anyone can take up space. But only the right ones help you walk in purpose. So don't confuse company with support. Because some people were sent to your life for comfort―but others were sent for construction.
And this season? It requires people who don't just stand beside you―but build with you.

II. Who You Are in the Dark
How does someone become unforgettable?
Seek first to inspire, not to impress. It's your come from space.
So I'm not gonna give you a technique to do, I'm gonna give you an essence to be.
And if you're willing to be that, now you're ready for the technique.
So number one, your to-do list is long. People like you, your to-do list is long.
But your to-done list, T-A, D-U-N, to-done list, is a lot longer.
What in your to-done list can you give yourself credit for?
Just sit in that for a moment.
Things that people will never see that you did. The way you love the perceivably unlovable, the way you forgive the perceivably unforgvable. The way you get up in the dark of the night. Who you have to be in the dark of the night to show up as who you are in the middle of the day.

III. The Aligned Don’t Grind
If you find yourself grinding—stop. This is the old paradigm— “We gotta grind our way.” It's not about grinding. Anytime you are grinding, it's because you’re not aligning. If you align, you won’t have to grind.
Here’s what alignment looks like:
You intuitively feel and trust your decision. Meaning you’ve healed the parts of you that feel like there’s a right or wrong decision.
You’re not afraid of failure. You trust that whatever decision you make, you’re making it from the level of awareness you’re at right now.
Everything will always be hindsight 20/20. So now I trust that this is the decision I’m supposed to make—because I trust myself. And you’ll start to see…This is what it was all about.
Because life always shows you where there’s misalignment—so you can get back aligned.
So pay attention to the parts of you that feel unworthy. That live in fear. That live in shame. That feel guilty. That are afraid of failure.
Those parts of you? That’s where you’re misaligned. And that’s why you have to grind. Because those things are still holding on. Let go of those things—and you’ll become more aligned.

IV. Question
How can I better listen to the wisdom of my body and emotions?

V. This Week, I Will
Stay the course―triumph awaits.
Anchor and immerse myself in this moment.
Let it end. Let it change. Let it hurt. Let it heal.
Breathe, relax, lean into ease, and choose trust over fear.
Focus on what I can control and let go of what's beyond it.

The Last Words…
"Each moment just disappears, it’s gone. There’s only a present moment, and it’s gone instantly. So if you’re not there for it, if you’re stressed out, or you’re anxious, or you’re thinking about something else, you missed it. Any moment when you’re not in that moment, you are dead to that moment. You might as well be dead because your mind is off doing something else or living in some imagined reality that is just a very poor substitute for the actual reality. In each moment, what’s happening in front of you literally has all the meaning in the world, and so what matters is just being present for the thing."
