Sunday Thinking ― 4.6.25
"You've been so occupied by your hurt that you're not sure who you are without it. Existing in pain is not your purpose."
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"Part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself—to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life.”

I. The Words We Speak
We have all said things to ourselves we would never say to a loved one. The words we speak to ourselves matter more than we realize. Meet your own gaze with the same warmth you offer a friend.
Forgive yourself not because you are without fault—no one is but because you are worthy of the grace you give to others.
So let today be a gentle turning point. Start small. Speak one kind word into the silence. Let it settle inside you like a seed, and see what grows.
I honor my inner light, it illuminates my path.
I see relationships as mirrors that can help me grow.
I trust my unfolding, each step guided by wholeness.
I surrender to life’s current, finding grace in every turn.
I remember that real power is loving presence, not control.

II. Fueled by Truth, Not Spite
"Hater-motivated inspiration" or "Prove-them-wrong energy" seems powerful on the surface — but it's still rooted in people pleasing. It's a subtle trap dressed as empowerment.
It sounds like fuel - 'prove them wrong,' 'make them regret ever doubting you.' But at its core, it is still a performance for others. It is validation dressed in vengeance.
If you're driven by the people who overlooked you, you're still letting them shape your path and life.
You're still measuring your worth by someone else's reaction.
Real fulfillment doesn't come from being seen. It comes from seeing yourself. From moving because you believe in what you're building—not because you're waiting for people to change their minds.
There is nothing wrong with turning pain into power—but let it be your own. Let the motivation and fuel be purpose and calling.
Because fulfillment only grows from seeds planted in soil of truth, not spite.

III. You’re Here to Evolve, Not Shrink
The magic happens when you stop making yourself small just to fit where you no longer belong. Outgrowing people and environments isn't betrayal. It's not selfish. It doesn't mean you don't care. It just means you're evolving.
Growth is uncomfortable. You might miss the old spaces, the old versions of yourself, the people and places that once felt like home.
But staying in places you've outgrown won't bring back the comfort you're searching for: it will only keep you stuck.
If something no longer fits, let it go. If a space feels too small, step out of it. If you feel yourself shrinking, remember: you are allowed to grow.
You were meant to take up space. To step into something bigger. To trust that even if the unknown feels scary, you are ready for it. You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to want more. You are allowed to walk away from what no longer fits. Without guilt, without apology.

IV. Question
Who am I when I’m not performing?

V. This Week, I Will
"Be Here Now." All of this is temporary.
Be aware without becoming consumed.
Just focus on today. Tomorrow can wait.
Feed my focus and starve my distractions.
Be more interested in how my life feels than how it looks to others.

The Last Words…
"Watch the sky. It has seen every version of you. The child who dreamed in constellations. The teenager who whispered secrets to the moon. The lover who traced their name in the clouds. The broken soul who stared at the stars, searching for a sign. The sky remembers it all. So when the world feels too heavy, when the past won't let go, when you don't know who you are anymore— look up. The sky has been with you since the beginning. It will be here until the end."
