“I really think a champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall.”

― Serena Williams

I. Overlooked Leadership Lessons

  • Lead with enthusiasm and empathy.

  • Do not brag about yourself. Brag about others.

  • To be a true teacher, you must be a learner first.

  • People will never forget how you made them feel.

II. Are You “Mentally Strong”?

Mentally strong people avoid specific behaviors:

  1. They Don’t Dwell on the Past

  2. They Don’t Fear Time Alone

  3. They Don’t Shy Away from Change

  4. They Don’t Resent Other People’s Success

  5. They Don’t Focus on Things They Can’t Control

“Mental strength requires you to take time out from the busyness of daily life to focus on growth.”

III. A Chance to Believe

  • Believe in your heart for it offers hope.

  • Believe in your mind for it offers direction.

  • Believe in your soul for it offers strength.

  • Believe in yourself because you are enough.

IV. Question

Do I on a daily basis take time to really get to know myself?

V. This Week I Will

  1. Get better.

  2. Study my craft.

  3. Prioritize my self-care.

  4. Take one step at a time.

  5. Find joy in the process.

The Last Words…

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

― Les Brown
