“Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.”

— Barbara De Angelis

I. The Gift of Words

Our words must be manifested in our behavior.

  • I see you.

  • I love you.

  • I miss you.

  • I trust you.

  • I hear you.

  • I need you.

  • I value you.

  • I respect you.

  • I believe in you.

II. What If

“What if 2020 isn’t cancelled?⁣

What if 2020 is the year we’ve been waiting for?⁣ A year so uncomfortable, so painful, so scary, so raw — that it finally forces us to grow.⁣ A year that screams so loud, finally awakening us from our ignorant slumber.⁣ A year we finally accept the need for change.⁣ Declare change. Work for change. Become the change. A year we finally band together, instead of⁣ pushing each other further apart.⁣

2020 isn’t cancelled, but rather⁣ the most important year of them all.”

III. Practical Wisdom

  • Doing nothing is hard to do.

  • The best listener hears silence.

  • The thing we never have enough of is Time.

  • Be self-assured, factual, truthful and respectful.

  • I am you. You are me. Together we are the solution.

  • People hate the truth because it shatters their illusions.

  • You either pay the price for your greatness or you will pay the price of mediocrity.

IV. Question

What’s something true about you that you need to embrace more openly and lovingly?

V. This Week I Will

  1. Be kind.

  2. Not make excuses.

  3. Choose faith over fear.

  4. Exercise self-discipline.

  5. Practice self-leadership.

The Last Words…

“Let us not be content to wait and see what will happen, but give us the determination to make the right things happen.”

— Horace Mann
