“It’s easy to maneuver the material world once you have conquered your own mind. I believe that. Once you've learned the terrain of your own mind, every experience, every emotion, every circumstance, whether positive or negative, simply propels you forward, to greater growth and greater experience. That is true will. To move forward in spite of anything. And to move forward in a way that brings others with you, rather than leave them behind.”

— Will Smith, Will the Book

I. Relationships Are Everything

We should aspire to master the art of relationship building because the relationship we have with ourselves and others impact:

  • Time + Trust

  • Money + Feelings

  • Growth + Happiness

  • + Every facet of our lives and well-being

“Who we hang around is who we become. Who we run with determines the direction that we run.” — Inky Johnson

II. Living in Gratitude

3 things to be grateful for today:

  1. The person you are becoming.

  2. How far you have come.

  3. What you already have.

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive — to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” — Marcus Aurelius

III. Cultivating Emotional Agility

Emotional Agility helps us come to terms with even our most difficult emotions, enhance our ability to enjoy our relationships, achieve our goals, and live our life to the fullest.

  • Gentle Acceptance: It is what it is.

  • Compassion: Meet yourself where you are — applies to others too.

  • Routine: Create pockets of healthy routines while letting go of what you cannot control.

  • Connection: Nurture relationships. Community is essential to your well-being.

  • Courage: Stay open to tough emotions. They are expected. Identify what matters most to you.

  • Reset: Make habits out of behaviors you have consciously chosen. Your actions should reflect your values.

  • Wisdom: Life's beauty is inseparable from its fragility.

V. Question

When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?

VI. This Week I Will

  • Tell the truth.

  • Celebrate the small wins.

  • Find moments for humor.

  • Choose courage over comfort.

  • Free myself from ideas of perfection.

The Last Words…

“This moment — where you are right now — holds so much power and potential. And the more permission you give yourself to lean into the present, the more access you have to the goodness available in it.”

— Jamila Reddy, Lifestyle Designer
