Sunday Thinking
"At the end of the day, I just want to be proud of the person I have become."
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"Life gives you what you need. Life gives you lessons, and triumphs. Hard times, the best of times and the most mundane days. So go with the flow. Go with life. Look for the opportunities and the beauty in the small things. Take your time, go slow, enjoy the moment. Look back with heartfelt gratitude. Go forward with excitement and without fear. But most importantly be in this moment. Because at the end of the day, this moment is everything."
I. The Connected Leader
As leaders, connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.
In order for connection to happen, we have to allow ourselves to be seen, really seen.
Connection requires vulnerability and the courage to be authentic and genuine.
Our ability as leaders to recognize our shared humanity and to invite others into a sense of belonging and worthiness becomes the birthplace for connection to flourish.

II. The Art of Emotional Agility
When we view our well-being through a more holistic, comprehensive lens, we get closer to living a more satisfying and values-connected life:
Gentle Acceptance ― It is what it is.
Compassion ― Meet yourself where you are. (This applies to others, too.)
Routine ― Create pockets of healthy routine and let go of what you cannot control.
Connection ― Nurture relationships: community is essential to wellbeing.
Courage ― Stay open to tough emotions. They can help you identify what matters most.
Reset ― Cultivate values-based habits.
Wisdom ― Life's beauty is inseparable from its fragility.
Consider the ways you could integrate these components of emotional agility into your relationships, workplace, and community.

III. Life’s Canvas
The adventure of life is to learn.
The purpose of life is to grow.
The nature of life is to change.
The challenge of life is to overcome.
The essence of life is to care.
The opportunity of life is to serve.
The secret of life is to dare.
The spice of life is to befriend.
The beauty of life is to give.
The joy of life is to love.

The Last Words…
"This year, I hope you learn how to let go of everyone's opinion of your life. I hope you start to see, from a place that lives deep within you, that there is no universally correct way to live a life that is solely your own. Every human being has different goals, has different concepts of what happiness looks like, has a different concept of what it truly means to be alive. And because of that, people will judge you - the world will try to change you, but you must continue to move in your own direction, you must continue to go at your own pace, because if you allow for that to alter your path you're going to end up living someone else's life. I hope you learn how to make your life your own. I hope you learn how to make your time here something you are proud of."
