“If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, 'I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.”
— Ann Landers
I. Self-Leadership In Turbulent Times
As you navigate the unchartered realities of COVID-19 seek to cultivate:
New skills
New beliefs
New thinking
New behaviors
Our most significant challenges are often our greatest opportunities and learning experiences to grow.
II. Be The Light
“There are people in your life whom you unknowingly inspire simply by being you.” — Unknown
Inspire belief & optimism
Inspire growth & discovery
Inspire hope & truth-telling
Inspire learning & unlearning
Inspire knowledge & storytelling
Inspire all who come your way with courage and grace.
III. The Power of Calm
Daily mindfulness practices serve as precious moments to learn more about ourselves and the world. Here are a few suggestions:
Spend time detoxing from your devices each day.
Write a list of 5 things that you’re grateful for in your life.
Perform a random act of kindness. Make somebody’s day better.
Set a timer for 30 minutes and focus completely on a chosen task.
Do one thing that will help you feel more organized for the week ahead.
Give yourself space to feel, time to breathe, and become your own source of soothing comfort.
Be aware of your internal dialogue. See if you can notice when you’re kind (or unkind) to yourself throughout the day.

IV. Question
How can I be a part of the solution?
The Last Words…
“Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever.”
— Isak Dinesen
