“Sometimes people think they know you. They know a few facts about you, and they piece you together in a way that makes sense to them. And if you don't know yourself very well, you might even believe that they are right. But the truth is, that isn't you. That isn't you at all.”
— Leila Sales
I. It Starts Within
The most important person to lead is yourself.
The most important person to be with is yourself.
The most important conversation is the one with yourself.
The most important person to trust is yourself.
The most important person to tell the truth to is yourself.
The most important person to love is yourself.
II. Earned Not Given
The best coaches and leaders earn:
Trust
Respect
Buy-In
Stay-In
III. Dare Yourself
Risk more than others think is safe.
Expect more than others think is possible.
Care more than others think is wise.
Dream more than others think is practical.
IV. Question
What does my ideal day look like? What am I doing and how am I feeling?
The Last Words…
“Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.”
— Christopher Morley
