Sunday Thinking
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.
"Hope you know that your heart is enough. You're smart enough and funny enough and interesting enough. Your smile is enough. Your light is enough. And the parts of you that you struggle with and try to hide ― they're enough, too. And if you want to just sit for hours and not say a single word, your presence is enough. You don't have to talk to fill the noise. You don't have to say anything at all. Just stay true to yourself. Offer who you are, not who you think the world wants you to be. Because I promise ― your heart is enough. You're enough. You have nothing to prove."
I. The Mountain Is You
Each day is a unique opportunity to transform self-sabotage into self-mastery. You are the most constant thing in your own life:
Befriend yourself first.
Invest in yourself first.
Become yourself first.
The rest will come together in time.

II. Boss vs. Leader
Are you a boss or a leader?
A boss knows it all and takes credit. A leader is always learning and gives credit.
A boss gives orders and is threatened by others. A leader gives direction and is inspired by others.
A boss micro-manages and is judgemental. A leader trusts their team and is empathetic.
A boss speaks more and wants answers. A leader listens more and wants questions.
A boss fears change and keeps you guessing. A leader embraces change and is transparent.
A boss places blame and demands respect. A leader takes accountability and earns respect.
III. What I Now Know
What I was told: Good things come to those who wait.
What I now know:
Good things come to those who open their minds.
Good things come to those who are kind.
Good things come to those who work hard.
Good things come to those who laugh.
Good things come to those who are balanced.
Good things come to those who believe it can happen.
Good things come to those who are true to themselves.
Good things come to those who ask for help.
Good things often arrive after pain.
Good things are coming...and so are the great.

IV. What We’re Excited About
Being a manager is hard. Being a great manager is even harder.
Enter Leader’s Lens, a weekly newsletter written by veteran leadership coach, Jacob Espinoza. For years, he’s worked alongside Fortune 500 CEOs across the country. Now he’s writing a newsletter with action items, leadership deep dives, and a curated list of resources.
V. Question
How much overlap is there between what you say is important to you and how you spent your attention over the last month?
VI. This Week, I Will
Lead with love.
Lead with courage.
Lead with acceptance.
Lead with mindfulness.
Lead with a WE mentality.
The Last Words…
"At the end of the day, there is only one person with whom you will spend every second, every minute, every day of your entire life. That person is you. Do whatever you need to do to ensure that you like this person. Respect your own boundaries. Listen when your intuition is speaking. Trust the voice of your higher self over the false chatter of your mind. Unlearn what you've been conditioned to believe. Unfold yourself from shallow boxes. Protect your peace at all costs. Walk away from where you are not valued; remind yourself of your worth. Say no to negativity; say yes to what lifts you up. Make the choices that align with your integrity. Be honest with yourself, even when it hurts. Especially when it hurts. Live so firmly rooted in your purpose, that your faith in your light ― the very heart of your existence becomes unshakable. This is not selfish. This is honoring the deepest part of your soul, discovering the love you have been seeking in other people was there all along; this is making your corner of the Earth a more beautiful place to be while you are here."
